Field Service Engineer

FIELD SUPPORT ENGINEER POSITION SUMMARY

The primary function of this position is to provide technical support related to hardware, software, and applications for all products to Customers, Service Representatives, and other Field Support Personnel. This position utilizes product knowledge and technical experience to prepare service quotations, resolve problems, and answer questions for a wide variety of people inside and outside the company as well as travel to customer facilities to provide on-site support.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
 

  1. Minimum 3 years experience as an electronic product technician and/or service with technical responsibilities.
  2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
  4. Excellent written and oral (phone and in-person) communication skills.
  5. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  6. Availability to travel up to 50% of the time as required in support of customers.
  7. Experience and knowledge of fiber optic concepts is preferred.
